When the lines get out..
On wool, rectangles, and learning to speak
JUL 23, 2026
I designed a rug recently. Inspired by a photograph of a food installation in Paris, which was itself inspired by the great Aldo Rossi and his work Il Teatro del Mondo su Tutti.
The image said something to me that needed translating, so I made this one for myself - although others ended up falling in love with it also.
The material I rely on most for rugs is wool. Simple, efficient. I particularly love designing rugs, because even just with a single material you can create different sensations; visually, but also on the skin.
Use loop piles and the surface sits lower, more ( … )
